Person detained over robbery of hundreds of euros and adornments owned by Azerbaijani citizens and foreign persons from aircraft cargo areas - UPDATED

An officer of Great Britainâ€™s â€œBritish Airwaysâ€ company Muzeffer Alasgarov committed theft from aircraft cargo areas. He stole hundreds of euros and adornments owned by Azerbaijani citizens and foreign persons.

Alasgarov was detained as a result of operational research actions carried out by the officers of law enforcement bodies.

Criminal cases have been launched on him under articles 177.1. (Theft that is secret plunders of another persons property), 177.2.2. (repeatedly) and 177.3.2. (with causing damage in large size) of the Criminal Code.

There are a lot of sufferers on the criminal case. There are officials from Azerbaijan and foreign countries among them.

Criminal case launched on the fact has been finished. The case has been sent to the Court of Grave Crimes.

Head of the JSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Maharram Safarli told APA that this incident had no relation to AZAL. There was not the name of Muzaffar Alasgarov in system of the company.
