On August 3, relatives of the 24-year old Mashtaga resident Hamidaga Guliyev informed police that he became missing. As a result of operational measures police and prosecutor’s office of Sabunchu district found out that Guliyev was killed by resident of Mashatag village Haji Rasul Babayev, 35.
Babayev invited Guliyev to his house on August 3 and killed him during a dispute between them. Then he threw Guliyev’s body to the water channel. The body was recovered from the channel on August 17 in the presence of the suspect.
A criminal investigation was launched on the fact.
