Baku-APA. A car bomb has exploded outside a police station in Northern Ireland, just days after a failed bid to attack the same target, police said, APA reports quoting Presstv.ir web-page.

A spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said that the blast in Newtownhamilton, County Armagh, happened at around 11:25 pm (2225 GMT) Thursday. There were no reports of any injuries.

"Police were made aware that a vehicle had been abandoned in the area after a telephone call was received by a Belfast hospital at around 10:30 pm (2130 GMT)," AFP quoted the spokeswoman as saying.

"Police were en route to the scene at the time of the explosion," she added.

Around a week ago the army defused a car bomb outside the same police station.
