Balakan. Vugar Heydarov – APA. Arms and ammunitions were found during the Border-Shield operations in Balakan region of Azerbaijan near the Georgian borders, local police office told APA.
The operations began on April 6. The security forces established check-points in Katech, Ititala, Gabagcol and Salban villages of the region seriously inspecting all vehicles and passengers. Two Kalashnikov guns, two TOZ-8 riffles, one 32-caliber sport gun, three hand-grenade and 43 bullets of different calibers were found on the bank of river in Poctbina village of the Balakan.
The arms and ammunitions were sent to the storage of the Interior Ministry to be examined.
The Border-Shield operations will be finished on Saturday.
