Noting that Azerbaijani-Pakistan’s relations built on a solid foundation will develop in future, Abiyev said Azerbaijan had always felt support of Pakistan in political sphere, as in all directions. He said that Pakistan is among the first countries recognizing the independence of Azerbaijan and it always stay loyal to the traditions of friendship and brotherhood, helps our country at international levels on different issues.
In turn, Pakistani guest noted that the elections fully met the international standards. He stressed that with this democratic and transparent elections, Azerbaijani people once again showed their confidence to Ilham Aliyev.
Touching upon active participation of people in presidential elections, Mushahid Hussain Syed noted that thanks to transparency, the process ended in a peaceful and stable manner.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Ikramullah Mehsud.
