Baku – APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received chairman of Brazil-Azerbaijan friendship group, member of Chamber of Deputies Claudio Cajado, APA reports quoting AzerTAc.
Mr Cajado congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his re-election as President of Azerbaijan in the October 9 election, saying the people of Azerbaijan made a wise choice.
The Brazilian MP stressed the importance of the 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum, which they will attend.
Mr Cajado expressed hope that the activity of newly established Brazil-Azerbaijan friendship group would contribute to expanding relations between the two countries.
The Head of State noted that bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Brazil had been developing successfully.
President Ilham Aliyev hailed political relations between the two countries as “good”.
The Azerbaijani President said there were ample opportunities for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Head of State described establishment of Brazil-Azerbaijan friendship group as a strong signal of cooperation between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev underlined the significance of the 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum, expressing confidence that meetings, which will be held on the sidelines of the forum, will contribute to boosting intergovernmental cooperation even further.
