President Ilham Aliyev: "Azerbaijan has faced a humanitarian disaster"

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. “Our internationally recognized territories have been under the Armenian occupation for many years. Azerbaijan has faced a humanitarian disaster. All of our cultural resources, historical and national monuments have been destroyed in the occupied territories,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum, APA reports.

The Head of State said that the OSCE twice sent a fact-finding mission to the territories, their documents also reflected that cultural and national monuments of Azerbaijan had been destroyed: “Unfortunately, the decisions of international organizations are not implemented. It is unbearable. Sometimes, the resolutions passed by the international organizations are implemented within hours, but when it comes to us they are delayed for more than 20 years. More than one million refugees and internally displaces persons should return home. This huge humanitarian disaster strongly hurts the development of our country.”
