Baku – APA. Permanent representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO Anar Karimov presented his credentials to Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova on September 11.
APA reports that Bokova congratulated Karimov on his appointment and expressed satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between UNESCO and Azerbaijan.
Karimov said that strengthening the relations with UNESCO is one of the priorities for our country. He underlined First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva’s invaluable role in the further development of this cooperation.
Future prospects of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNESCO and joint projects were discussed at the meeting.
