OSCE Parliamentary Assembly starts autumn session

APA’s correspondent reports from Budva that OSCE PA President Ranko Krivokapic and Milo Đukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro addressed the opining of the session. Speaking about the important work of the OSCE in Europe and around the world, representatives of Montenegro called the organization for closer co-operation with the member states in order to strengthen the organization and work more effectively.

 

The issues like fight against terrorism, transnational threats and protection of human rights across the OSCE space, the events in Syria, effective ensuring economic security during the economic crisis were discussed at today's plenary meeting of the session. The members of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Azay Guliyev and Rabiyyat Aslanova also delivered speeches at the discussions. Touching the importance of the fight against terrorism at the international level, Aslanova spoke about the participation of Azerbaijan in the international coalition in this field.

 

Following the meeting, Rabiyyat Aslanova told APA that in her speech, she touched upon the changes in the structure of international terrorism and brought to the attention of participants that this threat is spreading day by day: “The most terrible thing is that strong financial flow and human resources are involved in this area, extremist groups and criminal structures are uniting, which lead to coup d'etat not only in small regions, but also in large region. The fight against terrorism is not a concrete duty of any country. It is impossible to fight alone against this great, global and socio-political problem. This can be solved through join cooperation of states and political will of every country.”
