At the meeting Sergey Lebedev briefed that CIS will observe the elections with 276 observers and highly praised preparations for the Presidential elections, adding that CIS Election Observer Mission will observe the elections throughout the whole territory of Azerbaijan.
Sergey Lebedev noting the full readiness of polling stations for elections stressed that all necessary conditions are provided for free, democratic, fair and transparent holding of elections.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov mentioned that the election process is unfolding in free and democratic atmosphere on the whole adding that all opportunities are created for local and foreign observers, including CIS Election Observer Mission to conduct their activities.
At the meeting views were also exchanged on forthcoming Summit meeting of CIS in Minsk in October this year and development of cooperation among CIS Member States.
