Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. The EU delegation headed by Gunnar Wiegand, Director of Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE unit in European External Action Service, will visit Azerbaijan. APA reports quoting the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan the visit aims to attend the meeting of Azerbaijan-EU Cooperation Committee in Baku on October 1.
The meeting will focus on the urgent issues on the agenda of Azerbaijan-EU relations. The Azerbaijani delegation will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev.
In 1996, Azerbaijan and the European Union signed an agreement on cooperation and partnership and the document became effective on July 1, 1999.
