Oettinger said the parties discussed ways how to stabilize the situation in energy security.
“These countries have different capacities, but are willing to work together. Azerbaijan has a long experience in oil and gas field. Georgia is a reliable transit territory. Armenia doesn’t take part in this program, but has similar interests. Ukraine and Belarus have also great capacities and are transit countries among Russia and the European Union. The EU is the largest energy importer,” the EU Commissioner said.
He said the next informal meeting will be held in Brussels next month and in Riga next year.
