Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Swiss counterpart Didier Burkhalter as a part of his visit to New York to attend the 68th session of the UN General Assembly.
The Foreign Ministry told APA that they discussed relations between the two countries.
Didier Burkhalter congratulated Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on the selection of TAP project and noted that this project will make a significant contribution to the energy supply of the European countries.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed his counterpart about the process of negotiations on the peaceful resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and stressed that first of all it is important to withdraw Armenian armed forces from our occupied territories. Didier Burkhalter also gave information about his country’s priorities during the OSCE presidency in 2014.
