Baku – APA. Armenian side must understand that continuation of Armenia’s occupation against Azerbaijan and existence of Armenian armed forces in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories are main threat for solution process of the conflict, regional peace and stability, said the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elman Abdullayev while explaining the statements made Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandyan together with Austrian Foreign Minister at the briefing, APA reports quoting Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s website.
Abdullayev noted that the position shared by E. Nalbandyan against decision of NATO member-states in Wales reflects Armenia’s desperate situation:
“At the NATO summit held on September 4-5 in Wales, the heads of state and government of the NATO member-states expressed their support to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders in the final statement adopted by, they expressed their support and called on to settle the protracted conflicts in the South Caucasus on the basis of these principles. It proves that Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders are recognized by the international organization.
Attempting to doubt decision of the NATO member-states, Armenian Foreign Minister clearly demonstrated that their country does not respect the principles of the international law. Armenian Foreign Minister calls on to violate norms and principles of the international law.
Instead of confessing his country’s aggressive policy and putting an end to it, Armenian Foreign Minister aims to confuse international community and first of all, Armenian community, and unsuccessfully justify the diplomatic defeat of Armenia”.
