Baku. Real Jafarli – APA. As a part of his visit to New York to attend the 68th session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, APA reports quoting Fars news agency.
They discussed the development of relations between the two countries and the issue of regional cooperation. Moreover, the ministers exchanged views on the issue of determining the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
The parties also discussed the issues included in agenda of the next meeting of Azerbaijan-Iran joint commission on cooperation in economic, trade and humanitarian spheres to be held in Baku in the near future and agreed to speed up consultations between the experts and working groups of the two countries for strengthening cooperation in energy, cargo transportation and other spheres till that meeting.
At the end of the meeting, Mammadyarov invited Zarif to visit Azerbaijan.
