APA reports quoting the Foreign Ministry of Lithuania that The letters of invitation were signed by the President of Lithuania Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—, the European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, and José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.
A.Krivas handed out invitations saying that in the context of the Presidency of the EU Council, Lithuania attached great importance to the Eastern Partnership. The Lithuanian Vice-Minister stressed his belief that the Vilnius Summit would be an important step towards the EU dialogue and cooperation with each Eastern Partnership country. According to the Foreign Vice-Minister, real outcomes of the Summit will help willing partner countries to continue to seek political and economic convergence with the European Union.
