Baku – APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited 12 states and headquarters of international organizations, received 21 heads of state and government in Azerbaijan, in 2012. APA reports that it was released at the final press release of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) for 2012.
Azerbaijan established diplomatic relations with 2 more countries last year. Moreover, Azerbaijan established diplomatic missions in the Swiss Confederation, Federal Republic of Brazil, Dubai city of the United Arab Emirates and Montenegro, while the Republic of Argentina, Kyrgyz Republic and Islamic Republic of Afghanistan established diplomatic missions in Azerbaijan.
Thus, the number of Azerbaijani diplomatic and consular missions in foreign countries and under international organizations has reached 87.
