He said Azerbaijan always supported peaceful solution to the conflicts and peace.
“We want peace and stability to be established in the Middle East,” he said.
Elman Abdullayev said Azerbaijan, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, is closely watching the situation and participating in the process of settlement.
“Azerbaijan is ready to participate in the peaceful resolution of this problem within the UN Security Council,” he said.
Responding to the missiles shot from Gaza Strip, Israeli Army started the operation Pillar of Cloud (aka Cloud Column). During the operations, air-strikes and artillery attacks were made on the positions of Hamas in Gaza Strip. 5 citizens of Israeli and 140 Palestinians were killed as a result of the clashes. The negotiations on ceasefire have not been achieved yet, Israel doesn’t rule out to start ground operation in Gaza Strip.
