Azerbaijani party leader and former Iranian vice-president quarrel

Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. The delegations of Azerbaijan and Iran quarreled during the 7th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Baku. APA reports that the quarrel took place not at the assembly meeting, but in the lobby.

Iranian delegation including former vice-president Hassan Gafuri Fard sharply reacted to the statement of chairman of Civil Solidarity Party, MP Sabir Rustamkahnli on deprivation of Azerbaijanis’ basic rights living in Iran. Disagreeing with Sabir Rustamkhanli, the delegation said that there was no discrimination in their country. Rustamkhanli, who sitting on the couch, invited them to sit down next to him: “Let's sit down and talk calmly.” But Iranian delegation continued speaking loudly. The sides shouted at each other. Following this, the members of Iranian delegation entered the conference hall.
