"Azerbaijan has paid special attention to the development of the economy and infrastructure since the end of the conflict with Armenia," Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, told "Brussels Signal" publication, APA reports.
According to him, past territorial disputes are already history and the main priority on the agenda are large-scale projects:
"Among these projects, the Zangezur corridor is of particular importance. The road and railway line that will connect Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran and Türkiye can become an important transport hub between Europe and Asia."
According to him, Baku also proposes to expand energy cooperation with Europe. Gas supplies, as well as joint projects in the field of renewable energy, are on the agenda. In addition, geological exploration opportunities for gold and rare earth elements are also being considered.
“We won the war, now let's win the peace,” Hajiyev emphasized.
The presidential aide also said that Azerbaijan's main goal is to ensure stability, broad development and common prosperity in the region.
