It is important to protect historical traces in Shusha, especially in the Jidir Plain, and tourists are not allowed to write various inscriptions on rocks and damage these places, Kamil Duniyev, a lieutenant colonel in the reserve of the Armed Forces, who fought with his only son in the 44-day Patriotic War and lost his leg in one of the combat operations, told APA's Karabakh bureau.

According to him, such cases are unacceptable.

Kamil Duniyev noted that measures have been taken repeatedly to prevent such cases, and those who did not follow the rules were fined and given appropriate explanations.

"However, such situations still continue. In the liberated territories, writing on stones and rocks with paint and other means, as well as polluting the territories, is unacceptable. Especially in the territories where the blood of martyrs was shed and which have become historical monuments and historical sites of Azerbaijan, writing any inscriptions and violating nature is a major violation. This should be condemned not only by veterans, members of martyrs' families and fighters, but by everyone. This is a condemnable issue," he said.
