"There is a successful example of cooperation in our region in the Georgia-Türkiye-Azerbaijan format. The strategic partnership built between the countries over decades is now of even greater importance from a security perspective", Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said during a panel discussion at the "Allies in Ankara" forum held in Türkiye, APA's local bureau reports.
According to her, the joint energy projects and transport corridors implemented by the three countries have taken on a completely different significance today.
The foreign minister stressed that the current geopolitical context has increased the strategic importance of the South Caucasus and the Black Sea region.
"Given the Russia-Ukraine war and the developments in the Middle East, attitudes toward the Black Sea region, the South Caucasus, and Georgia are changing," Botchorishvili added.
The minister also highlighted the growing role of the Middle Corridor, which represents an important geoeconomic and geopolitical space.
