Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Court has launched new investigation into the case of Hojjat-ul-Islam Abdulaziz Azim Gadimi, one of the activists of the movement for the rights of Azerbaijanis living in Iran, sources in Iran told APA that at the event devoted to famous historian-scientist Samad Serdarniya he had been accused of opposing the government and his activity had been assessed as national discrimination. Tabriz Revolutionary Court held a preliminary hearing in connection with this on August 12. Hojjat-ul-Islam is held in Lengevud prison in Qum and feels normal. He is not allowed to have a lawyer. Araz (Sefer) Nagipur and Huseyn Settari, who expressed their protest against the pressures on Abdulaziz Azim Gadimi and released leaflets in Qum, were arrested in May.

Gadimi wore like a clergyman at the rallies held near the graves of Settarkhan and Bagirkhan and marches to Babek castle and Iranian courts said it contradicted the present rules for the believers. Two years ago Gadimi got one-year suspended sentence and was banned from wearing like a clergyman for 10 years. On May 2, he was sentenced to one year in jail again. He faced charges of stirring up national, racial and social enmity.
