Executive Director of American Jewish Committee to visit Baku

Baku-APA. David A. Harris, the Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee will arrive in Baku on August 13, Press Service of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad told APA.
The delegation includes Yakob Abramov, Head of Caucasus Jewish Cultural Center and Samuel Kliger, AJC’s Director of Russian Jewish Community Affairs. The visit to be lasted till August 16 aims to familiarize with Azerbaijan and Jewish community here and expand bilateral relations. The delegation led by David Harris will meet political leaders of the country. They will have meetings in Foreign Ministry, State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, State Committee on Work with Religious Associations, Caucasian Muslims Office and the US and Israeli embassies in Azerbaijan. The guests will visit Jewish synagogue and hold press conference on the outcomes of the visit.
American Jewish Committee, which linked and coordinated Jewish communities in the US, was established in 1960.
