New Azerbaijan Party addresses European Parliament
“The extradition of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov to Azerbaijan and his pardoning were realized in accordance with the norms of the international laws and all relevant principles, as well as according to the 12th paragraph of “European Convention on Extradition†and the 22nd item of 109th paragraph of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As you witnessed, Ramil Safarov has implemented all necessary law-procedures before and after the issue.
The message reads that the region where Ramil Saforov’s born was occupied, his relatives was killed,by Armenian armed forces and that his family became IDP-s:†As well as, RAmil SAfarov was insulted by an Armenian Officer Qurgen Marckaryan during ON a NATO course and he was obliged to kill him in order to defend himself. We are pity that the European parliament hasn’t paid any special attention to the motives of the event, to the real facts of the issue in his resolution about Azerbaijan. Actually, Ramil Safarov’s issue is not a reason, but a resultâ€. One could never imagine this issue apart from the facts of Armenian invasion on Azerbaijan, killing of millions of Azeri people. When compare with all these facts any one can understand that the international law was violate then but not now.the situation has been changed yet. From this point of view the Armenian Officer is a victim of Nagorno Karabakh Conflict. In some cases Ramil Safarov also could be considered as a victim as he served 9 years of his life in prisonâ€.
YAP explaines that by not considering the above mentioned facts the European Parliament leaders and its members make the resolution by the influential organization non-objective and tendentious.
“They shouldn’t forget the fact that persons (Members of ASALA terrorist organization: Monte Melkonyan, Vazgen Sislyan, Varujan Karapetyan and etc.), who have committed terror acts several times in various countries and were extradited to Armenia, were not reproached. After the extradition of these persons, Armenia sent them to Azerbaijan’s Nagorno Karabakh territory and tortured. The Khojaly genocide, which was committed against Azerbaijanis on February 26, 1992, took place with participation and initiatives of these persons. But the committers of this genocide have not been punished yet (613 people were killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 older people). The participants of the Khojaly genocide established their political carrier over the crimes and murders of Azerbaijanis. The issue on Ramil Safarov is not a bad example as you noted in the resolution, the bad example is fact of killing Azerbaijanis many years ago.
