European Liberty and Democratic Party refuses voting for resolution concerning Ramil Safarov

Baku â€“ APA. An urgent draft-law on Ramil Safarovâ€™s issue will be discussed at the plenary session of the European Freedom and Democratic Partyâ€™s Head of the Azerbaijani delegation in the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, member of parliament of Azerbaijan Elkhan Suleymanov told APA that there was a disagreement among political parties and groups on the above mentioned issue on the eve of the plenary session.

So, another fraction of Liberal Group â€“ the European Liberty and Democratic Party made a decision on refusing to vote for the resolution concerning the issue of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov on September 12.

Stressing that one more political party has refused voting for the resolution, member of parliament said the issue is that the resolution wasnâ€™t proposed by the majority of political parties in Euronest and stressed that according to the Procedure Rules established in European Parliament, this document wouldnâ€™t be the common European Parliamentâ€™s resolution, so it can be viewed as a declaration that was proposed by the diplomats of one political group who voted for itâ€.
