UN states once again that Nagorno Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan, but occupied by Armenian forces

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov said Armenia had flagrantly violated the UN Charter and other documents of international law and perpetrated aggression against his country, UN News Center reported and quoted the speech of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister. â€œAs a result of this aggression, almost 20 per cent of the territory of Azerbaijan continues to remain under occupation and about one million Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) are unable to return to their homes,â€ Mammadyarov said.

Mr. Mammadyarov said Armeniaâ€™s leadership â€œcontinues to publicly incite the future generations to new wars, violence and aggression and propagate by all means the dangerous ideas of animosity and hatred towards not only Azerbaijan, but also other peoples of the region.â€

UN adopted 4 resolutions regarding the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenian forces. These resolutions demand immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories. Despite about 20 years have passed since the adoption of resolutions, Armenia doesnâ€™t fulfill these resolutions.
