Allahshukur Pashazadeh: â€œIt would be better for US President to visit mosques, synagogues like churchesâ€

It would be better for US President to visit mosques, synagogues like churches. It is needed to relate to these religious temples equally. We do it. Azerbaijani president visits mosque, church, synagogue and participate in the events held thereâ€, said Chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Allhashukur Pashazadeh at the meeting with delegation led by Chairman of the California Senate Environmental Quality Committee, Senator Joseph Simitian, APA reports.

Pashazadeh reminded his previous visit to California and expressed his wish to visit US again. CMB chairman also addressed US ambassador Matthew Bryza who participated in the meeting: â€œIf the ambassador invites us, we will visit the USâ€.

Bryza expressed his attitude to Pashazadehâ€™s desire: â€œWe think about itâ€.

Leaders of the religious communities functioning in Azerbaijan, including Head of the Religious Community of Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan Semyon Ikhilov, Baku and Caspian littoral Bishop Alexander also participated in the meeting.
