Azerbaijani First Ladyâ€™s interview published in Germany in book â€œFemale leadership-Power of Womenâ€

The main essence of the book is to analyze secrets of achievements gained by worldâ€™s successful women. The publication includes articles and interviews of nearly 60 well-known women from 30 countries of the world. The book featured interviews with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova and articles about them.

The interview with the Azerbaijani First Lady reflects information on Heydar Aliyev Foundationâ€™s activity, Azerbaijani womenâ€™s role in the social-political life of the country, Azerbaijanâ€™s being among the first countries to introduce womenâ€™s suffrage and other issues.

Touching on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Aliyeva also spoke of problems of Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs.

The Azerbaijani First Lady highlighted existence of great attention to womenâ€™s education in the country, and stressed that a number of womenâ€™s working in research institutions and private sectors is increasing. She also noted Azerbaijani women actively participated in the social life of the country at all times.

Aliyeva underlined that prominent Azerbaijani women Khurshidbanu Natavan, Mahsati Ganjavi contributed to nationâ€™s cultural heritage. She stressed the fact that water supply system was first built in Shusha as a result of Khurshidbanu Natavanâ€™s charitable activity, and was later destroyed in the wake of Armenian occupation.
