OSCE PA special representative replies to Azerbaijani parliament vice-speaker’s letter concerning death of 13-year-old child

Baku. Parvin Abbasov – APA. Special Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for the South Caucasus Joao Soares replied to the letter of Azerbaijani Parliament’s Vice Speaker, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE PA Bahar Muradova concerning the death of 13-year-old Aygun Shahmaliyeva in Alibayli village of Tovuz region of Azerbaijan as a result of Armenian diversion. The special representative thanked Muradova for informing him and said tragic deaths of the children always cause great concussions, APA reports with reference to the website of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP). Soares offered condolences to Aygun’s family and said the Nagorno Karabakh problem was not a frozen conflict. Soares considers that it is conflict to cause such incidents.
Soares noted in his letter that Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents agreed to create mechanism for joint investigation of the incidents. He said he would assist the realization of this issue in the future.
