Azerbaijani MFA: Uruguayâ€™s deputy foreign minister says his country respects international law and supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

Baku. Victoria Dementieva â€“ APA. â€œUruguay respects the norms of international law and supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Armenian news portals published distorted reportsâ€, spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elman Abdullayev told APA. He said as ever Armenian news agencies described their dreams as a reality. â€œOur embassy in Buenos Aires is clarifying this issue and has already contacted the Uruguayan Foreign Ministry. Uruguayâ€™s Deputy Foreign Minister Roberto Carreras told Azerbaijani Ambassador Mammad Ahmadzadeh that his country respects the international law and supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and OSCE Minsk Groupâ€™s mediatory missionâ€, said Abdullayev.

The spokesperson said Azerbaijani embassy in Buenos Aires continues investigating this issue.

Armenian news agencies reported that during the conference at the Uruguayâ€™s parliament dedicated to the relations with Armenia, Uruguayan Foreign Minister Luis Almagro emphasized the necessity of recognition of Nagorno Karabakhâ€™s independence and said currently they learn this issue.
