Iranian expert: Though Manouchehr Mottaki had been offered to resign, he rejected it – EXCLUSIVE
“The parliament confirms this decision. If the parliament asks the cause of the minister’s dismissal, the head of state may publicize it in the parliament. If president does not want, he will not answer the parliament’s questionnaire,†he said.
Sepah considers that Mottaki can not be regarded as the humiliation.
“This is not so. It is not in accordance with our law to inform a minister about the dismissal beforehand. Any person can be dismissed even without warning,†he said.
Iranian parliamentarian from Esfahan Mohammad Taghi Rahbar regarded Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s act as unethical. He told APA that though president has the right to dismiss a minister, he must not use this right to humiliate the minister. “The world is laughing at us. We have not to raise a laugh in the world. Everyone speaks about instability in our country. Islamic laws do not welcome such worksâ€. To Rahbar, dismissal of Mottaki without warning him about it is disapproving case: “Unfortunately, some persons around the president are opprobrious. The president had to consult with his close people. I think that it is not a right stepâ€.
Iranian political expert Hasan Behishtipur considers Mottaki as unskillful foreign minister. He told APA that though dismissal of a person without warning him was wrong, in general, Mottaki’s dismissal from minister’s post is a right decision: “Everyone has personality and it needs attention. But I must note that Mottaki was weak in his activity, did not fulfill enough the president’s demandsâ€.
To Behishtipur, though Mottaki had been offered to resign, he rejected it: “He said that he would not resign, let them dismiss him. The problem is not the dismissal, the problem is how he has been dismissed. Mottaki should resign himself. In general, his works were not acceptable. There are some issues that need Mottaki’s explanationâ€.
Note that, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed Mottaki while he was in Senegal.
