The Baku Initiative Group (BTG), through its activities across various international platforms, has succeeded in placing the issue of decolonization on the agenda of international organizations not only in the political sphere but in other areas as well, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov told journalists, APA reports.
He said that the UN, its specialized agencies, the Non-Aligned Movement, and other international institutions are now regularly raising issues related to decolonization.
"This is the result of awareness-raising efforts. Undoubtedly, media representatives and news agencies have played an invaluable role in this process. On behalf of the Baku Initiative Group, as well as all parties involved in the decolonization process, I would like to express my deep gratitude to media representatives and news agencies," Abbas Abbasov stressed.
