Roland Kobia: â€œWe are not interested in building the relations with Azerbaijan only in the field of energy as some thinkâ€

The visit of President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso is the indicator of the sustainable development of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and European Union, said Head of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia at the press conference, APA reports.

According to him, the President of the European Commission will pay a visit to Azerbaijan on January 13-14: â€œThis visit will be historical, because President Barroso pays his first visit to Azerbaijan in this capacity at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyevâ€.

During the visit the President of the European Commission will meet with President Ilham Aliyev and other officials and will make a speech on Azerbaijan-EU relations: â€œThe visit coincides with the important moment of Azerbaijan-EU relations. It also indicates the ongoing integration of Azerbaijan into the European values in accordance with the commitments undertaken within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program. Azerbaijan- EU partnership cover all the areas, including â€“ political, social, cultural, commercial, trade. We are not interested in building the relations with Azerbaijan only in the field of energy as some thinkâ€.
