Georgian Parliament discusses issue to confirm candidate for post of ambassador to Azerbaijan

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzade â€“APA. Georgian Parliament discusses the issue to confirm candidate for the post of ambassador to Azerbaijan. APAâ€™s Georgia Bureau reports that information was given about Teymuraz Sharashenidze, who was nominated to the post of Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan, at the meeting chaired by speaker David Bakradze.

Nugzar Tsiklauri, Chairman of Committee on Relations with Compatriots Residing Abroad supported Sharashenidzeâ€™s candidature. Chairman of Committee said that he is sure that Sharashenidze would manage his job well and protect the interests of the Georgia-origin citizens living in Azerbaijan. Thereupon, the voting on approving the candidacy will be held in the second half of the day in the Parliament.

Note that, T. Sharashenidze who was nominated for the post of ambassador was born in Tbilisi, he had graduated from Medical University. He had worked as a consul in Bulgaria and Turkey. Before the new appointment he had worked as Georgiaâ€™s Consul General to Turkey.
