Chief of Azerbaijan SBS: â€œAzerbaijan completely provides its border security at its expense and we do not need any aid from outsideâ€

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA. â€œRecently, means allocated by the state for border security has increased 20 times. Azerbaijan completely provides its border security at its expense. We do not need any aid from outsideâ€, said Chief of the State Border Service (SBS), Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev while responding the question â€œUS helped Azerbaijan provide security of its state borders in recent years. Is this cooperation still continued?â€, APA reports.

Guliyev said that SBS budget empowered the fulfillment of the set tasks and currently Azerbaijan closely cooperates with neighboring countries, as well as with Turkey: â€œI suppose, we are all aware of the recent false and slanderous reports against our state, statehood, president posted on the Wikileaks website by American diplomats. Can cooperation be discussed after such reports? It is out of question. Our cooperation is at a high level with other states - Caspian littoral states, as well as with several European statesâ€.
