Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev holds high-level meetings in Astana

Astana - APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met here UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, press service of the Presidential Administration told APA. They praised the development of relationship between Azerbaijan and UK. They also underlined the importance of energy cooperation between the two countries, saying there is good prospects its expansion.
They also exchanged views on how to deepen bilateral cooperation in other spheres. They also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict. President Ilham Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijanâ€™s stance on the issue.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer. The Austrian President said his country was interested in development of political, economic, energy cooperation with Azerbaijan. He underlined the necessity of taking certain relevant steps, as well as expanding the activities of the Austrian companies operating in Azerbaijan. President Heinz Fischer stressed the importance of deepening the cooperation between Austrian energy companies with Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR). The Austrian leader also inquired about the issue on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President Ilham Aliyev told of Azerbaijanâ€™s stance on resolution of the conflict.

Azerbaijanâ€™s President Ilham Aliyev has today met here Belarus counterpart Alexander Lukashenko. The two leaders praised the development of political, economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus. They also hailed the fact that trade between the two countries had been increasing. The presidents exchanged views on establishment of joint enterprises and prospects for bilateral energy cooperation.
