Azerbaijani President continues holding bilateral meetings within the framework of OSCEâ€™s Astana summit

Astana â€“ APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who is attending the summit of heads of OSCE member states, continues holding bilateral meetings, Presidentâ€™s press service told APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili have met in Astana today. The presidents expressed their satisfaction with the successful development of the relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in various spheres, discussed joint energy projects, issues related to Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project. The heads of state expressed their confidence that the relations will further extend.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has also met with Slovenian President Danilo Turk. The presidents discussed bilateral relations, said there are good opportunities to extend the relations between the countries. Slovenian President concerned himself with the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, President Ilham Aliyev spoke about Azerbaijanâ€™s stance on the resolution of the conflict.

Azerbaijani President also met with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy. The sides said there is successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union, discussed issues on resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, energy cooperation. They expressed confidence that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union will further extend.
