Azerbaijan and Montenegro sign agreement to abolish visa travel for persons having diplomatic and service passports

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by Foreign Minister of Montenegro Milan Rocen, Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA. The sides noted that there are broad opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro in a number of spheres, including economy and tourism.

Elmar Mammadyarov noted the importance of improving the relations and exchanging experience in the field of culture and education. Elmar Mammadyarov informed his Montenegrin counterpart about the process of negotiations carried out between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Foreign Minister of Montenegro Milan Rocen said he witnessed rapid development in Azerbaijan and expressed confidence in the successful cooperation between Montenegro and Azerbaijan. He also invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to Montenegro, the invitation was accepted with pleasure.

The sides agreed to extend the legal agreement basis to increase the contacts and spheres of cooperation between the two countries. At the end of the meeting foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Montenegro signed “Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and Government of Montenegro on abolition of visa travel for the persons having diplomatic and service passports” and “Protocol on cooperation between Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic and Foreign Ministry of Montenegro”.
