Lisbon. Fuad Gulubeyli – APA. Today president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, together with his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, has arrived in Lisbon to attend the NATO Summit.
Portugal’s high-ranked officials met Azerbaijani president at Lisbon airport.
Azerbaijani President, in conjunction with the heads of states and governments, will attend the Afghanistan-related NATO Summit, which will be held tomorrow morning.
Of note, in tomorrow’s meeting besides NATO member-states, the states that ensure security in Afghanistan and participate in ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) program, will join as well.
At the same time, Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzay, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the chairman of EU Council, representatives of the World Bank and Japan will take part in the work of the summit.
