Agenda of NATO Lisbon summit made public

APAâ€™s Europe bureau correspondent reports from Lisbon that later a broad meeting will be held with the participation heads of state and government of NATO members. Prior to the meeting the leaders will commemorate the alliance servicemen killed in Afghanistan and other regions. Following this, NATO Secretary General and Prime Minister of Portugal will make a keynote speech. After the meeting the heads of state and government will hold discussions during supper. The foreign ministers and defense ministers will hold separate talks at supper.

The heads of state and government will meet tomorrow again to discuss Afghanistan issue. NATO-Russia relations will be discussed with the participation of Russian President, bilateral and multilateral meetings will be held tomorrow. Moreover, NATO Secretary General, UN Secretary General and President of Afghanistan will hold a joint press conference. Prior to the press conference, President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will issue a joint statement.
