Mehdiyev noted that international observers, as well as vast majority of observers came from Europe assessed the elections in Azerbaijan as positive, transparent, fair and democratic: “However, there were separate persons in these observation missions with different opositions. For instance, the position of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) a little bit differs from the position of vast majority of European observers. Methinks, it has a subjective character. These thoughts are nonobjective and sounded under instructions one way or another”.

He reminded the previous elections and noted that OSCE/ODIHR observers sounded one opinion when they were in Azerbaijan and changed it in 1-2 months and said different thoughts: “And it shows that these thoughts are sounded under certain pressures, instructions and orders. In general, Processes in Azerbaijan are going on in the atmosphere of political and economic stability. The elections were held in this condition as well. The Central Election Commission (CEC) reviews the received appeals. I think these issues will find their solution in the days coming. The CEC should conclude its works and submit the documents to the Constitutional Court. According to the procedure, certain decision will be passed after the Constitutional Court’s review. The first session of the parliament will start after that”.
