President Ilham Aliyev: "Armenia â€“ is geographical and economic impasse"

Baku â€“ APA. "We have a strong, professional and efficient army, the armed forces that ready to perform any task" â€“ the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated at the opening ceremony of a complex of residential buildings constructed for the families of IDPs, APA reports quoting â€œAzerTAjâ€ news agency.

Ilham Aliyev said that official Baku attempts to solve the Nagorno-Karabakh problem via negotiations: "But for now itâ€™s impossible. It has one reason - the actions of Armenia. Armenia has occupied our lands, pursued a policy of ethnic cleansing, then renamed these places, administrative centers and villages. However, this does not make a sense, the renaming policy does not change anything. In the world nobody calls Kalbajar or Aghdam those fictitious names that Armenians gave. But despite all of this, we must become stronger and stronger. We become stronger, and the day will come when we liberate our lands â€“ Kalbajar, Lachin, and Shusha. The flag of Azerbaijan will fly in Khankendi. This is our land and we wonâ€™t give the enemy an inch of it".

The President stated that the actions of the government to improve the living conditions and status of internally displaced persons are temporary: "Once again I want to say that this is a temporary place of residence. After liberation of the lands, weâ€™ll construct more beautiful homes in Kalbajar, Agdam, Lachin, Shusha, Gubadly, Zangilan, Fizuli, Jabrail".

The President stressed that Azerbaijanâ€™s strong, professional and efficient army is ready to fulfill any task: "We have paid much attention to army formation and for the recent years we built up our military strength so much that it can at any time and for a short time to restore the territorial integrity of the country. I am confident that both our enemy and the parties involved in this matter know about it. I donâ€™t want the blood to be re-shed, lose our people, and once again have people being killed. I want to resolve this issue through negotiations, political means, and economic strides. All our policy, which is implemented coordinately, pursues this goal. We have isolated Armenia from all communications. Armenia is the geographical and economic impasse. On the other hand, just look at our and their opportunities. They are unable to live without outside aid, they live at the expense of donations coming from abroad. How long are they going to exist thereby? Of course, Armenians are given money intentionally. Those who give them money, stipulate: do it so, and do it like that. But who may demand the same things from Azerbaijan? Azerbaijan â€“ is an independent state, our country is governed by the will of its people".

"Just look at our level that we have achieved over ceasefire period and the level they dropped. For 16 years there is such big difference" â€“ president Ilham Aliyev said at the end of his speech.
