Baku. Viktoriya Dementyeva - APA. The second Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (CSF) will take place on 18-19 November 2010 in Berlin, APA reports. The overall aim of the Forum is “to promote contacts among Civil Society Organizations and facilitate their dialogue with public authorities” in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The meeting will inter alia give an opportunity to take stock of what has been achieved since November 2009 when the initial meeting of the Forum took place and to discuss how the Forum should evolve in the future.
The Forum will be open for all Civil Society Organizations irrespective of their participation in the previous Civil Society Forum’s meeting. Accordingly to the decision made by the participants to the first Forum, the procedure for the selection of participants is being prepared by the CSF Steering Committee, elected by them in November 2009.
The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum has been established in 2009 following the Prague Summit launching the Eastern Partnership. CSF activities are financed by the European Commission. The CSF aims to support the further development of civil society organizations and promote contacts between them as well as facilitate their dialogue with public authorities.
