Khalaf Khalafov: We are about to coordinate the draft agreement on cooperation on the Caspianâ€™s security

Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said the meeting was very useful, there is improvement towards the coordination of the draft agreement.
â€œWe are about to reach a complete agreement. This document must correspond to the national legislation of the Caspian states. Therefore, consultations will be held on this issue. The agreement is a very important document on the Caspianâ€™s security and the first document for preparing the mechanisms of cooperation. There is no serious divergence of opinion among the littoral states,â€ he said.

The draft agreement covers struggle against terrorism, organized crimes, sale of narcotics, illegal migration, human trafficking, smuggling, sale of weapons etc.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov represented Russia, Deputy Foreign Minister, Presidentâ€™s Special Envoy on Caspian Issues Mohammad Mehdi Akhundzadeh represented Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Toyli Komekov represented Turkmenistan and department head of Foreign Ministry Zulfiyye Amanjolova represented Kazakhstan at the meeting.
