Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. OSCE’s summit in Astana can be a turning point in the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists in Istanbul, APA reports quoting Turkish media.

Assessing the trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian presidents in Astrakhan, Elmar Mammadyarov said he will soon meet with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian. Elmar Mammadyarov said it is early to say what issues will be discussed at the meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister.
“We had broad discussions in Astrakhan. The presidents of the three states gave instructions to continue the discussions on the level of the foreign ministers. We are working to hold a meeting soon. We will make assessments before the Astana summit,” he said.

Elmar Mammadyarov said the OSCE’s summit that will be held in Astana on December 1-2 can be turning point in the solution to Nagorno Karabakh problem, and underlined that the roadmap will bring long-lasting peace to the Caucasus.

Elmar Mammadyarov also commented on the issue on Aghdam’s renaming by Armenians.
“This is ridiculous. It will change nothing. Renaming shows that there are radical forces in Armenia. They do not want peace and stability in Armenia, establishment of normal relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he said.
