Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov appointed Azerbaijanâ€™s ambassador to Italy

The Presidentâ€™s press service told APA that Vagif Sadigov had been appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Azerbaijan to Italy. Note that Vagif Sadikhov was born in Baku on November 2, 1956. He graduated from Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, Department of English language in 1978 and earned his PhD on Philology. He was senior lecturer, Azerbaijani Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in 1986-1991. Sadigov worked as First Secretary, Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1992-1993. He worked as Head, Division of Political-military affairs, Department of International Organizations,Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1993-1995, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Austria,Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office in Vienna (UNOV),United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO),and organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 1995-2004, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization
(CTBTO) in 1998-2004, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the international Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2001-2004 and Deputy Foreign Minister since 2004.
