President of Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio: Azerbaijanâ€™s election legislation has been improved much, good elections can be held with this present legislation

Gianni Buquicchio said the situation is becoming better in Azerbaijan after every election.
â€œI am ready to continue the effective cooperation with Azerbaijan in this sphere. Azerbaijanâ€™s election legislation has been improved much. Despite this, we should continue work to improve it more. There is much work to be done. We can do it together. There is a need for improvement, positive changes in the formation of the composition of election commission. Anyway, good elections can be held with this present legislation. The most important thing is a will. Democratic elections can be held even with the imperfect legislation. We should continue cooperation with the Azerbaijani government on the Electoral Code. We should try so that the international observers are satisfied with the elections. We will hold trainings for the persons participating in the election process,â€ he said.
