Department chief of Presidentâ€™s Administration: It is already obvious that great states are interested in the solution of Nagorno Karabakh problem

This fact shows that Russia supports solution of the conflicts in the Caucasus,â€ chief of international affairs department of Presidentâ€™s Administration Novruz Mammadov said in his interview to the website of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), APA reports.

Mammadov said South Caucasus is in the focus of attention of the leading states of the world for its geostrategic position. In this respect Putinâ€™s statement: â€œRussia supports solution of the conflicts in the Caucasus, because the conflicts have negative influence on our cooperation with the countries of the regionâ€ is clear. He says that the leading states of the world want stability in the region for the sake of their interests.

â€œBut unfortunately, may be because of the interests of these states, conflicts remain in the region. It should be noted that the parties have peculiar position on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Azerbaijanâ€™s efforts aim to coordinate these interests, solve the problem in line with our countryâ€™s statehood and national interests,â€ Novruz Mammadov said.

Novruz Mammadov considers that it is already obvious that great states are interested in the solution of Nagorno Karabakh problem. Thatâ€™s why pressures on Armenia are increasing.
