Georgia nominates two candidates for Human Rights Commissioner

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh –APA. Georgia will elect the Human Rights Commissioner on September 16. Two candidates were nominated for this post – Dmitry Lordkipanidze by the minority of the parliament and Georgy Tugushi by the majority of the parliament, APA Georgian bureau reports. The third candidate – leader of the NGO “42nd article of the Constitution” Manana Kobakhidze also expected to be nominated.
Both candidates told journalists that incumbent Human Rights Commissioner of Georgia Sozar Subari is doing his duties honestly and ably.
Subari said he wouldn’t run for the post of the Human Rights Commissioner because he knew that they wouldn’t elect him.
